The trip to Blackpool Zoo was arranged as part of Carers Week.
Staff also invited different organisations who deal with care within the Blackpool community to go into the Red Bank Road store last week to carry out awareness days for shoppers.

“As a store we also wanted to not only do something to help and support the campaign of awareness for these amazing organisations, we wanted to do something extra special for some of the actually carers themselves.
“Myself and some of my colleagues Jean Hamilton, Karen Pearce, Nicci Cheltenham and Jennet Johnson organized a trip to the zoo for 30 people.
“The day went beautifully for the carers and some of their children.

“The day ended with the store presenting each carer with a bouquet of flowers in recognition of how special a person they are and what an amazing job they do.
“I would like to take this opportunity also to say a very big thank you to Della and her colleagues at Blackpool Zoo for all the help and support they afforded us on the day.”
