Olympic fever comes to Blackpool this weekend when the resort hosts its own High Street Games.
Teams representing traders will compete in events such as human table football and pole jousting, as well as completing an assault course.
In the afternoon, the equipment will be available for members of the public to test their skills on.
The fun has been organised by Blackpool Improvement District (BID) and is part of the Healthy High Streets initiative. It takes place in St John’s Square between 9.30am and 4pm.
Denise Sinclair, from Greggs which is one of the Healthy High Streets businesses said: “Events of this nature are a great way to bring businesses together to have fun and to boost footfall in the town centre.
“Being part of the Healthy High Streets Campaign has certainly brought Greggs into a closer working partnership with Blackpool BID and also with other town centre businesses.”
Town centre and BID manager Eileen Ormand said: “Saturday’s event is going to be a great day out for all the family.
“This is the second event Blackpool BID have managed supported by the Healthy High Streets Campaign and it will be great to see members competing on Saturday.
“It is going to be a fast and furious morning so do come along to join in the fun before your chance to try out the games in the afternoon.”
