A tenant living in a flat burgled a neighbour’s apartment, a court was told.

Daniel Maizey, 20, of Hull Road, Blackpool, pleaded guilty to burglary.

Martine Connah, prosecuting, told Blackpool Magistrates Court that on October 5 a tenant moved from his flat in the resort’s Grasmere Road leaving behind some stored property including a sofa and two printers.

When he returned he found the door to his flat had been pushed open and the printer and sofa were gone.

Police discovered the speakers in Maizey’s flat which at that time was in the same block.

Maizey, who had a previous conviction for burglary, also admitted moving the sofa out along with two other men.

He was bailed to appear at Preston Crown Court on January 28 for sentence by District Judge Huw Edwards sitting at Blackpool Magistrates Court.
