Ten years since Yates: Inferno that cost Blackpool part of its heritage and killed 100 animals started OUTSIDE and remains UNSOLVED

Ten years ago today, the famous Yates Wine Lodge was lost to fire. As part of The Gazette's special series commemorating the tragedy, we spoke to a firefighter who tried to save the historic venue.

The inferno is estimated to have cost £20 million, as well as robbing Blackpool of part of its heritage - and killing more than 100 animals.
