POLICE have launched a man hunt after a group of teenagers were robbed at knifepoint in St Annes.

At around 10pm on Friday the four teenage boys were walking through Ashton Gardens when they passed a man sitting on a bench.

As they passed the man, he stood up and followed them before producing a knife and demanding they empty their pockets.

The boys emptied their pockets of wallets, phones and cash and then left the park before calling the police.

During the robbery one of the boys was cut to his face by the knife the man was carrying.

The knifeman has been described as being white, between 17 to 20 years of age and was of very slim build. He was wearing a dark Adidas hooded top with stripes and dark tracksuit bottoms.
