A teenage boy stole two mobile phones valued at more than £1,000 when he went to a girl’s home.
Connor Hunter, 19, of Grafton Street, Blackpool, pleaded guilty to theft.
He was sentenced to do 180 hours unpaid work for the community, put on 12 months supervision and ordered to pay £900 compensation by Blackpool magistrates.
Pam Smith, prosecuting, said Hunter was at a 15-year-old girl’s home on September 15.
He asked to use a phone to access Facebook as he was homeless and wanted accommodation.
He left taking two phones worth £1,040.
Hunter told police he had sold the phones to buy food.
