A 17-year-old who went on the run for almost a week after escaping from the dock at crown court is back behind bars.
The teenager – who cannot be named for legal reasons – was recaptured after carrying out an alleged crime spree.
He appeared before Blackpool Youth Court yesterday after escaping from Court Four at Preston Crown Court last Tuesday.
He jumped over dock walls and made a successful bid for freedom from the building’s first floor.
He now faces more charges including escape from lawful custody.
He is also charged with burgling a garage on Howick Row, Preston, an allegation of intimidating a witness and a number of other charges.
The Youth Court remanded the 17-year-old in custody to re-appear before a judge on September 14.
