A teenager accused of raping a two-year-old boy has made his first appearance in court.
The 17-year-old Blackpool youth, who can not be named for legal reasons, is charged with raping the toddler in the resort on November 28.
Karen Saffman, prosecuting, asked for the case to be heard at crown court.
Defence lawyer, Malcolm Cartwright, said his client had indicated he would plead not guilty to the offence.
The teenager’s case was adjourned to Preston Crown Court on December 22.
He was remanded to secure accommodation.
