The case of a 14-year-old Blackpool boy accused of raping a girl under the age of 13 three times will be heard at Preston Crown Court, a judge has ruled.

District Judge Jeff Brailsford, sitting at Blackpool Youth Court, ruledthe allegations must be heard at the higher court because of their seriousness.

The teenager is further accused of inciting a girl into sexual activity, as well as a further four alleged sex assaults on boys and girls, the court was told.

The youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, will appear at Preston Crown Court at a later date, the youth court heard.
