Daniel Taylor’s mother rang police at 8pm on Sunday, because her son was so drunk he was headbutting walls and kicking cupboards at their home.

Taylor, an 18-year-old warehouse worker, of Central Avenue, Wesham, admitted breach of the peace, and was bound over in the sum of £150 for 12 months at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.

At court, District Judge James Hatton told Taylor: “I’m sure the irony is not lost on you that it was Mothering Sunday, and that your behaviour frightened your mother.

“You should be ashamed of yourself.”
