A paedophile put on the most wanted list by police after he went to ground has been remanded in custody after he went missing again.
Lancashire Police issued a media alert to trace Damon Betterton when they lost track of him.
Betterton, who was convicted in America of sexual activity and assault on a 15-year-old girl, gave himself up when he realised the hunt was on.
In Britain he had been put on the Sex Offenders’ Register until 2017.
Betterton, 26, who gave his address in court as High Street, Blackpool, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with a Sex Offender’s Registration Order (SORO) and breaching bail.
He was refused bail and remanded in custody for pre-sentence reports by Blackpool magistrates.
