Teen knocked out shop worker's teeth in 'unprovoked' car park attack

A supermarket employee was brutally attacked by a teenager as he made his way to work.

The 48-year-old was walking to work at Asda, Cherry Tree Road, Blackpool, at around 5am on Sunday when he came across a group of youths in the shop's car park.

One of the youths approached the man and hit him in the face, knocking out several of his teeth and leaving him bruised and bloodied.

Police said the assault was 'unprovoked'.

A 16-year-old boy from Blackpool was arrested on suspicion of assault and was bailed by police until May 4.

The victim was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital.
