THE TEENAGE girl who died in a crash on the M6 motorway in Lancashire has been named.
19-year-old Haley Marie McMinn, 19, of Middleton, Morecambe’s silver Ford Ka left the southbound carriageway between junction 32, the Broughton Interchange, and 33, Galgate, at 3.40am yesterday.
Police said the driver collided with the motorway banking.
She suffered multiple injuries and died at the scene.
Lancashire Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Sergeant Sean Cunningham from the Road Policing Unit said, “I would appeal to anyone who was on the M6 at the time and witnessed what happened to come forward.
“This is obviously a distressing time for the family of the woman involved and we have dedicated family liaison officers supporting them.”
