Teen broke skull in collision with Ford in North Shore

A 19-year-man who suffered a fractured skull in a collision with a car in North Shore is now in a '˜stable' condition, police said.

The teen was injured in Warley Road, when he collided with a Ford Mondeo at around 2pm yesterday.

He was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital, where he remains, police said.

The road was shut for two-and-a-half hours while accident investigation work was carried out, with motorists diverted away from the scene.

In a statement, Sgt Steve Hardman, from Lancashire Police’s Road Policing Unit, said: “We’re still working to establish the circumstances surrounding the collision and are appealing to any witnesses to come forward and assist with our investigation.”
