A 16-year-old boy has admitted causing the death of Blackpool man Michael Rhodes.
The teen, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to manslaughter at Preston Crown Court yesterday. He will be sentenced on Monday, October 2.
He had been charged with causing grievous bodily harm after Mr Rhodes, 47, was attacked outside a corner shop in Exchange Street, North Shore, in May.
Prosecutors upgraded the charge after Mr Rhodes died at Royal Preston Hospital more than three weeks later.
A rock music fan, Mr Rhodes left behind a nine-year-old daughter Lilliegh, older sister Jane, younger brother Andrew, and mum Margaret.
