The hit-and-run happened in Cherry Tree Road at around 3.15pm on Monday while Joshua was on his way home from the Chrysalis Centre, which supports youngsters with behavioural problems.
The St Mary’s pupil was waiting for the number 14 bus, near the junction with Cherry Tree Road North, when the bike swerved off the road and hit him, Victoria, 36, said.
The mum-of-five said she believes two other children were also involved, adding that she heard the bike squeal as its rider lost control.

A Lancashire Police spokesman said officers were called at 3.35pm to reports a moped had mounted the pavement and hit Joshua. Call 101 with information.
