The hit-and-run happened in Cherry Tree Road at around 3.15pm on Monday while Joshua was on his way home from the Chrysalis Centre, which supports youngsters with behavioural problems.

The mum-of-five said she believes two other children were also involved, adding that she heard the bike squeal as its rider lost control.
