“It is a wonderful hotel in a great location but in recent years it has had a bit of a difficult time. So we have all come together in a three-way management agreement to get it right up there where it deserves to be.

“It is a fantastic opportunity. The Chadwick is a valuable part of the Fylde coast hospitality scene and we are delighted to be able to save the 50 jobs and bring something new to a fine hotel.”

The hotel, which has 73 rooms, a pool and health club complete with sauna and steam room plus a restaurant and bar, is now being lined up for a refurbishment.

Dan said: “We have plans for a renovation programme and various improvements ideas in the coming months.”
