AXA has announced it is to engage in a full employee consultation on the prospect of transferring the majority of the roles at its Ballam Road, Lytham site to larger, existing AXA offices at The Parklands, Bolton.

The firm said no compulsory redundancies are planned as a result of the 90-day consultation – but individual circumstances of employees will be taken into account as part of the process.

The Lytham operation services several elements of the wider AXA Group including HR, IT and finance support roles.

Employees transferring to Bolton will be offered relocation support if appropriate and financial support to manage any increase in travel costs.

The consultation will consider whether the business would benefit from these roles being closer to the operational structure that they support.

A statement from AXA said: “No decision will be made on the future of the Lytham site until the consultation has been completed in early June.

“AXA has a strong and historical association with the North West and this continues with the ongoing investment and expansion of the Bolton site and consolidation of our presence in the region.”
