Fylde’s Got Talent will eventually see the winner on the same bill as superstar Sir Tom Jones and Michael Ball during August’s Lytham Proms.

The heats for a rising star to secure the chance of a lifetime took place at St Annes’ Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish Centre, as 35 acts were cut down to 12 ahead of the final on April 27.

The acts – which ranged from streetdancers to singers – were judged on stage by 2012 winner Kurtis Reid, entrepreneur Kirsty Henshaw and Brenda Blackshaw.

Brett Davis, who organises the show, said: “It was a success and the quality was just as high as years gone by and the judges had a difficult decision to make on the acts.

“The final is at Lowther Pavilion on April 27 where we have a variety show and the acts will have to perform two songs, with the winner playing Lytham Proms.”
