Sophia Smith, a Year One pupil at Hall Park School, was chosen from a field of more than 300 as the winner of the first ‘Dress A Dame’ competition to be held by the management of the Lowther Pavilion, as preparations for the pantomime took place.

Her colourful design caught the eye of the judges – and her prize included the opportunity for her entire class to watch the Mother Goose panto and meet the cast, including Nick Wymer, who played the dame and is now appearing in the dress.
