Taking their hats off to the holidays

Crafty kids have let the holidays go to their heads!

The Friends of Stanley Park hosted craft sessions of kids in the Visitor Centre at Blackpool’s premier park as part of the special programme of 
activities laid on as part of Love Parks Week.

Coinciding with the start of the school holidays there was a full week of action-packed events including family tug of war tournament, a family sports day, various sports for kids, archery, bug hunts, arts and crafts, orienteering, treasure hunt and circus skills.

Friends volunteers Sophie Tyler and Christine Lamb led the hat-making workshops for children.

The Friends of the Park play a pivotal role in activities in the park and details of all forthcoming activities organised in the park by the Friends and Blackpool Council are available from the Visitor Centre.
