A prolific thief was caught on camera stealing £26 of chocolate.
Anthony Goldrick had a previous criminal record of 96 thefts and similar crimes of dishonestly.
Goldrick, 43, of North Drive, Thornton, pleaded guilty to theft.
He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £26 compensation by Blackpool magistrates.
Jim Mowbray, prosecuting, said CCTV captured Goldrick at the One Stop convenience store in Daggers Hall Lane, Marton, concealing bars of chocolate and walking out without paying on February 8 at 1.20pm.
Patrick Nelligan, defending, said there had been a delay in getting the offence before a court.
Goldrick was already on a rehabilitation programme. He was on a methadone prescription.
