“The children delighted their parents and families as well as the parishioners with their wonderful singing of two musical items prior to the opening called Colours of the Day and Open Your Eyes, led by Mr Rose, head of Music, and accompanied by Head Teacher Miss Jo Snape

“Our master of ceremononies for the fair was Ken Dagger, and, as is usual practice, he surprised a young choir pupil – eight-year-old Imogen Heyes –by asking her to follow his instructions which she duly did quite brilliantly and declared the fair open.”

The fair featured a selection of stalls from tombola, face painting, a children’s play area, cuddly toys, book and bric-a-brac stall, a number of small raffles, and the main draw raffle with three cash prizes and many gifts.

Philip added: “We were delighted to hear at our Sunday Morning Service led by our acting priest in charge, Rev Christine Moreton, that the fair had raised an incredible £1,450.

“The funds will go directly to support the church in many of its outgoings to run a building, but also into community nurturing and outreach.

“A big thank you goes out to everyone connected to St Paul’s, for all their continued support.”
