Sun soaked Bubble Rush raises £50,000 for Brian House Children's Hospice

Saturday’s sun-soaked event saw around 1,500 participants power through four bubble stations blasting frothy bubbles from high-powered cannons along a 5km route.

Organisers say the event raised £50,000 for the charity on Low Moor Road, Bispham, which supports children with life-limiting conditions and their families through support and respite care.

Linzi Young, head of fundraising at Trinity Hospice and Brian House, said: “We are so pleased that the sun chose to shine after what has been a rather wet few weeks.

“Everyone looked so happy as they went through the bubble stations and the whole event was just lots of fun.

“We are thrilled at how much has already been raised, and money is still coming in through sponsorship.

“We’re so grateful to everyone who took part and helped to raise this incredible sum – they’ve helped us to make a difference to the 80 families on the Fylde Coast who use our service.

“A huge thank you as well to everyone who volunteered their time to help at the event.”
