Stunt pilots wow watching crowds at Blackpool Air Show

The skies above Blackpool once again became a stage for some of the world's top performers as Blackpool Air Show rumbled into a second day.

With wing walkers, stunt aces and helicopter stars there was no shortage of entertainment for the crowd packing the Promenade.

With weather conditions much better than those on Sunday - when crowds and pilots struggled with near gale force gusts – there was even an appearance by vintage aircraft from the Battle of Britain memorial flight.

The team’s Lancaster bomber was grounded by strong winds but two Spitfires were in attendance to wow 
the audience gathered between North Pier and Central Pier. The Air Show drew thousands to Blackpool over the weekend with the RAF’s Red Arrows the stars of the show on Sunday.
