The event, today and tomorrow from 10am to 5pm, will take place at the showfield off Salwick Road at Wharles.

Organiser David Martin said this was to be the third country show in August and followed on from the annual June event held on the field.

He said: “It has grown each year. This time we have a lot more trade stands and the National Farmers Union’s farming roadshow will be there.

“We will have 15 steam engines on display, 10 of which are from Isaac Ball’s old threshing yard at Wharles which a lot of people will know about.

“We have a range of entertainment including Fylde Ukelele Band, comedian Kurtis King and singer Nicky Miller on Saturday evening and there will be lots of animals of course.”

The show will also feature the Xtreme Stunt Team motorbike display, a craft and food marquee, vintage vehicles, a bee display and a sale of farm equipment.

There will also be a small fairground for children and live entertainment in the beer tent. Plus there’s also a large picnic area and free parking adjacent to the show.
