Detectives have released CCTV images of several men they want to speak following a street attack in Blackpool.

A 20-year-old man suffered two fractures to his jaw in the incident at around 4.30am on Talbot Road on Sunday, April 10.

The victim, from the resort, was walking close to Abingdon Street when he came across an altercation involving several people.

As the man remained in the area with his girlfriend, he was punched from behind by another male.

It is believed the attacker, alongside two other men, then made off from the scene.

The victim was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital and later transferred to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment.

Police are appealing for information following the incident and have released CCTV images of several men they believe witnessed the attack.

Det Con Duncan Worsley, of Lancashire Police, said: “We are appealing for information after a man suffered serious facial injuries following an assault in Blackpool.

“This was a nasty incident and we are keen to find the person responsible.

“We have released CCTV images of several men who witnessed the assault and are keen to trace them. If you recognise them, please contact police immediately.”
