A food store worker has revealed her delight at a kind donation of food from staff at a large Fylde coast employer.

Susie Norton, of Sainsbury’s in Red Bank Road, Bispham, said she was amazed by the number of items provided by staff at the DWP site at Warbreck House towards the store’s partnership with the Blackpool Food Bank.

She added: “On speaking with team leader Mike Woodhouse, from the Working Pensions Department at Warbreck House, he stated that he and a group of his colleagues had formed a wellbeing group, and one of the things this group do is to give help where help is needed.

“Therefore, the members wanted to donate this amazing amount of food to us. I would like to thank Mike and his team on behalf of Sainsbury’s Red Bank Road and Blackpool Food Bank Partnership. We are very fortunate indeed when it comes to donations for any worthwhile cause such as this.”
