A charity organiser at a Blackpool supermarket has praised the efforts of a football team for helping a fund-raising appeal.
Susie Norton thanked people for donations as part of the Lancashire-wide Cash For Kids appeal, as more than 400 presents were given by customers and staff at Sainsbury’s in Bispham.
He added: “On Saturday we were visited by representatives of Blackpool Rangers Junior Football Club who came into store with a trolley load of items which had been donated by both families linked to the football club as well as the club itself.
“I thought it was a lovely thing for the club to do.”
Radio station Rock FM has organised the appeal, which helps charities across the county by providing funding for projects and gifts at Christmas.
