Still time for savings switch

Blackpool householders who signed up for the latest round of the '˜Ready to Switch' collective energy switching scheme can save an average of £218 each per year following an auction between energy companies.

The exclusive rate will help residents save money on household energy bills for the year ahead.

Anyone with a Blackpool postcode can still register their interest to join the scheme online by Tuesday November 29.

The ‘Ready to Switch’ scheme was combined with a number of other similar initiatives around the UK, to create a collective of 25,000 households.

Council deputy leader Coun Gillian Campbell said: “There’s still time to register and make sure you are not paying more than you need to for gas and electricity.”
