Held at the 17th Lytham St Annes Scout Hut in St Patrick’s Road North, St Annes, it was the final event of the reign of current Carnival Queen Hannah Jeffrey, who will be busy attending carnivals and galas around other parts of the Fylde Coast and beyond in the coming weeks ahead of handing over the reins to her successor on July 9.

The spring fair included a wide variety of stalls and games and was attended by St Annes town mayor Coun Vince Settle, in one of the last events of his mayoral year before handing over this week to Coun Cheryl Little.

Town crier Colin Ballard acted as master of ceremonies as well as drawing the raffle, and Hannah said: “It was a wonderful day and I would like to thank everyone for coming.

“I am quite sad that this was my final fundraiser, but I have thoroughly enjoyed my year.

“A big thank you to the Carnival committee and my retinue for supporting me through all these events.
