Sports coach on road to Rio

Kieron Griffiths, a second year sports coaching student at Blackpool and The Fylde College, has been working alongside Olympian Sarah Stevenson, who won bronze in taekwondo, to go to the next Olympics.

The duo are now working as Team England coaches, 
after Kieron already worked at the Sixth Taekwondo Commonwealth Games held in Edinburgh, which were a qualifying round for the Rio Olympics in 2016.

He said: “Working with Team England was a great opportunity to put all my learning from my degree into practice at high level performance.

“The academia I have learnt since I started my degree has certainly improved my coaching skills.”
