Spinster Sunday is a big hit with six top authors
Organised by independent bookshop Storytellers Inc, Spinster Sunday featured current Carnegie prize long-listees Holly Bourne and Non Pratt, along with Natasha Farrant, Jenny McLachlan, Keris Stainton and debut author Sara Barnard.
The event was named after a group of friends in Bourne’s #Normal trilogy, the second book of which, How Hard Can Love Be?, was published last week.

There were also break-out sessions for the teens and the adults in the audience and Storytellers Inc co-proprietor said:
“We are so pleased to bring events like this to the young people of Lytham St Annes. They really connect with the topics and themes in the books they read so it’s wonderful to be able to give them the opportunity to meet the authors like this.
“The feedback from the audience after the event through our Twitter and Facebook groups was excellent. Everyone had such a great afternoon and the authors all went home very happy.”
Holly Bourne tweeted; “Loving #SpinsterSunday. Can we do this every Sunday please?”
