Special ale for Lytham Hall anniversary

Lytham Hall chiefs Marianne Blaauboer and Alan Hulme have teamed up with Lytham Brewery to produce their own ale to mark their 250th anniversary

The Grade I listed building is planning to serve up a special ale to celebrate its milestone anniversary.

After looking back to when it was built in Georgian times, Hall chiefs have teamed up with Lytham Brewery to product an ale fit to toast the special day.

Lytham Hall was completed in 1764, incorporating the remains of an early 17th Century manor and original Benedictine Priory.

Every pint of ‘Lytham Hall 1764’ purchased will go towards the £5.9m restoration of the Hall off Ballam Road, with the brewery donating the barrels of beer to the Hall’s cafe.

And an additional £5 per cask is being given by the brewery to the Hall for each of the 100 or more firkins of beer sold to the Fylde coast’s licensed venues. Some 7,000 pints of the brew will be available in time for Father’s Day celebrations on June 15 and Lytham Club Day on June 28.

Hall boss Marianne Blaauboer said: “Lytham Brewery really cares about the history and heritage of Lytham and is helping us to look after Lytham Hall.”
