Paralympic stars of the future can get involved with new sports sessions being held in Fleetwood.

Wyre Council’s recently launched Multi-Sport sessions take place every Wednesday from 10.15am for an hour and are designed to give disabled youngsters a route into sport.

Traditional sports, ranging from football to rugby, and more alternative sports of dodgeball, ultimate frisbee and handball are all available at the Fleetwood YMCA sessions.

Dave Parker, manager of Fleetwood YMCA, on The Esplanade, said: “The original sessions at the Broadway Rooms were well attended and we are striving to build on their success and offer more exciting opportunities through the introduction of the new Paralympic Sports.”
