Slime tower is coming home to Blackpool
A live, dripping slime tower is making its return to the resort after a tour of the UK and its creator, Adrian Pritchard, hopes it can inspire the next generation of scientists.
He has been working with children in Grange Park, teaching them to make slime safely. Using a salt crystal called Borax dissolved in water, which interacts with silicone polymers in PVA glue, he creates a non-stick putty substance that stretches and moves like liquid, only in slow motion.

He has held a weekly Gloop Club at @TheGrange, on Bathurst Avenue over the summer. His creation – the Osmosis Machine’ will be on display at the centre from August 28 to 31.
