Skin graft concern for hit-and-run dog
As the motorist drive close to the kerb in Bryning Lane, five year-old labradoodle, Bentley, was lifted on to the bonnet of the vehicle, carried along for several hundred yards.
Bentley was found torn, bleeding and semi-conscious in a resident’s garden.

Hide AdOwner, Michelle Norton, of Wrea Green, says the family pet, who is under veterinary care, has already had two surgical procedures, and may face another, plus skin grafts.
The cost of the treatment so far is almost up to £5,000, and the family do not have a pet insurance policy.
Michelle said: “Bentley came home three days after the incident, but became unwell and had to go back to the vet’s.
“He’s on a drip and his wounds aren’t healing as expected. Dressings have had to be sewn on to his skin, and he might have to have skin grafts. There’s also a possible problem with one of his shoulders.”

Hide AdFollowing the incident, the make and model of vehicle was identified by the serial number on the back of a piece of the front grill, which fell off on the impact.
The car is a BMW Series 3 aqua-coloured estate.
Mum-of-three teenagers, Michelle added: “I’ve been told that details of a vehicle number plate have been given to the police, but I haven’t heard anything back.”
The incident happened on November 7, at around 10am.
