Bispham residents are benefiting from a new cold calling scheme, according to a council agency.
Blackpool Coastal Housing (BCH) residents on Edmonton Place have been issued with new window signs designed to deter opportunistic sellers following a link-up with trading standards officers.
Officers are also visiting residents to give them advice on how to deal with cold callers, unwanted collectors claiming to be representing charities and other door-step pests. BCH residents will be given a telephone number to call if they are at risk from a cold caller.
Coun Christine Wright, chairman of Blackpool Coastal Housing, said: “We’re very pleased to have linked up with Blackpool Council’s trading standards team to help provide improved protection and advice to BCH residents.”
