A parenting course is being held in Blackpool

Organised by Better Start, it will help parents learn practical communication skills for everyday life.

Nikita Hanslip, who attended the first course, said: “I would highly recommend this course to any parent in Blackpool.

“I didn’t think I’d like it but there wasn’t any judgement from anyone and I ended up really enjoying it.

“I now understand my five-year-old’s behaviour and it’s taught me how to get him to express his feelings better to me.”

Course dates are Tuesday September 12, 12.30 to 2.30pm at Claremont Children’s Centre; Wednesday September 13, 9.30 to 11.30am at Revoe Children’s Centre, and 12.30 to 2.30pm at St Cuthbert’s Children’s Centre; and Thursday September 14, 9.30 to 11.30am at Mereside Children’s Centre.
