Security plea from officers

Residents across the Fylde coast are being warned to keep their vehicles and homes secure after a series of thefts this summer.

Police are receiving reports of criminal activity, where offenders are targeting insecure cars and homes across the Fylde area, which could have been preventable.

Sgt Wendy Coulson from St Annes neighbourhood police team said: “We would ask that members of the public check their vehicles and properties before retiring to bed and ensure accessible windows are secure.

“Please do not make it easy for opportunists which will ensure that Fylde remains a safe and enjoyable place to live”
