THE Seasiders are being linked with a move for Barnet winger Albert Adomah as the pace steps up in the race to sign Shaun Barker.
Derby County have made a third bid in their battle with Championship rivals Nottingham Forest to sign Barker, who played in the second of Pool's 5-0 win at Barnstaple Town last night.
Adomah, 21, joined Barnet from non-League Harrow Borough two years ago and has scored 14 goals in 70 League appearances.
Norwich are also said to be interested in Adomah, having confirmed they have made no contact with Pool over midfielder Matty Pattison, who was linked with a move to Bloomfield Road last week.
Pool chairman Karl Oyston insists the club remain under pressure to sell Barker but acknowledged a deal for the 26-year-old could now be imminent.
Derby are believed to have matched Forest in meeting Pool's minimum demand of 700,000, with both clubs also offering a player into the bargain.

Oyston said: "Shaun actually has two years on his contract not one, because we have the option of a further 12 months on all our players.
"But if Shaun wants to go, if the offer is right and if we can use that money better to strengthen where we need to, then we would do (a deal), but we are under no pressure to do anything we don't want to do. Ian Holloway and I are in total agreement."
Rams boss Nigel Clough said: "We think we need a commanding centre-half, and Shaun Barker was as good as we saw in the Championship last season.
"We're still talking and hopefully we are getting closer to a deal."
One possible makeweight in a Barker deal is Derby striker Liam Dickinson, who scored four goals on loan at Bloomfield Road last season.
Blackpool's win in the South West Challenge Cup opener at Barnstaple delighted Holloway, whose side have scored nine in their first two friendlies without conceding.
Holloway said: "We scored a few goals but it is all about fitness. I can't ask for any more from the players."
