A Blackpool school is hoping to add to its play facilities.
A planning application has been submitted to Blackpool Council on behalf of Baines Endowed School on Penrose Avenue in Marton for the scheme.
If it gets the go ahead, the project will see new play equipment installed on the grassed area within the school grounds.
The area will then be used as part of outdoor learning initiatives and as an educational tool for pupils.
The application is also seeking planning permission for a shelter as part of the overall scheme, which would be positioned on the grassed area as well.
The proposed play equipment includes a climbing wall, a balance beam, a chin up bar and leapfrog posts.
There will also be a weather station.
The proposals will now go before town hall planners for consideration.
