STOCKBROKERS are ditching their pens and picking up their trainers in memory of an “inspirational” former colleague.

The 14 runners from Hargreave Hale, on Hallam Way, Blackpool, are taking on the Blackpool 10K in memory of Emma Keegan, who lost her battle with cancer last December, at just 27-years-old.

The staff will all be running for Blackpool Victoria Hospital’s Macmillan Windmill Unit, where Emma was treated. Hargreave Hale’s Sharon Blundell said: “We’ve already smashed our £1,000 target so we are now aiming to raise £1,600.”
