A budding young actress who spent her first years in Fleetwood is already making her mark by appearing in a festive TV advert.
Six year old Ruby-Mae Nuttall can currently be seen in one of B&M Bargains’ three new Christmas commercials, which are now being scheduled during prime time programmes such as The X-Factor.
The adverts show families who make their Christmas special by popping into the discount stores over the festive season. Ruby-Mae plays a cute, bespectacled little girl who opens a present and then sees as a flash as Santa soars up into the sky.
Proud parents Liz Hames, 31, and Andy Nuttall, 35, were thrilled when their daughter first appeared in the ads a couple of weeks ago.
Liz, of Hardhorn Road, Poulton, is no stranger to acting herself, having appeared in many stage shows in Fleetwood and Blackpool when she was a youngster herself. She now runs Starmaker Management Ltd, a casting and modelling agency based in Poulton - and it was through this that Ruby-Mae ended up appearing in the advert.
Liz said: “Usually we approach the production companies but this time they came to us and asked us if we had any actors who would be suitable for this advert. I sent them a video of Ruby-Mae and they said she would be perfect. She went down to meet them and they filmed over two days in Manchester and Chester.”
Ruby-Mae used to attend Rossall Nursery in Fleetwood and now attends St John’s RC Primary School in Poulton.
