A MOTHER-OF-TWO fell out with a former workmate over cigarettes and ended up scratching him.

Former care worker, Emma Frost, 35, of Ambleside Road, Mereside, admitted assault when she appeared before Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.

Pam Smith, prosecuting, said how, on December 12, Frost went to her former work colleague’s home for drinks.

The couple then argued over cigarettes.

The victim had one in his mouth and Frost demanded he give it to her.

She then tried to grab it and clawed two scratches in his face followed by three scratches in his forearm.

John McLaren, defending, said his client, who had no previous convictions, said she had been grabbed by the hair as her former colleague tried to get her out of the house.

She was given a nine months conditional discharge and ordered to pay £50 compensation to her victim plus £50 costs by Deputy District Judge Jim Clarke sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.
