RNLI teams help injured woman from beach after fall

An injured woman was assisted from the beach in Blackpool after she suffered a fall, say Ambulance Services.

Emergency services were called to the incident near to the Hilton Hotel at around 5.30pm on Thursday, April 18.

On arrival ambulance crews requested the help of the RNLI team at Blackpool to assist with transporting the woman, who was in her 50s, from the beach.

A representative for the Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a woman who was injured after she slipped and fell on the beach.

"She was not believed to be seriously injured."

An RNLI spokesman said: "Our volunteers attended in the station Land Rover and provided assistance to a paramedic who was already on scene.

"The casualty was then transported to the lifeboat station."

The woman was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital for treatment.
