Nzar Hamasalh also said he would only stop threatening her if she continued to have sex with him.

He told his mistress he wanted to spend every day with her until he got bored and that he would come to her home and drag her out by her hair in front of her family.

Bar worker Hamasalh, a 37-year-old father-of-two, of Kensington Road, Blackpool, pleaded guilty to two offences of assaulting his mistress.

He was sentenced to a 12 months community order with up to 20 days rehabilitation to be supervised by the probation service, told to do 60 hours unpaid work for the community and pay £85 costs plus £60 victims’ surcharge by District Judge David Scanlon sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.

Hamasalh was also put on a two year restraining order which prohibits him from communicating directly or indirectly with his ex mistress.

The judge told him: “If someone does not want to be with someone you don’t let it fester and don’t try and get the upper hand, you let it go.”

Prosecutor, Malcolm Isherwood, said Hamasalh was married but started having an affair when he, his mistress, and his wife all worked at the same bar. When his mistress tried to end their relationship he refused to accept it was over.

He threatened to send revenge porn in the form of intimate pictures he had of her on his phone to friends and on August 11 last year when he saw her with another man he dragged his mistress along by the hair.

When interviewed Hamasalh told police he loved his mistress and his wife and in his culture it was OK to love two women.

Hamasalh now accepted the relationship was over.
