A MAN took his revenge after arguing with his girlfriend of 14 years.

Darren Byng, of Crookall Close, Fleetwood, admitted a breach of the peace during the incident earlier this year.

Sharon Child, prosecuting, told Blackpool magistrates how Byng had been verbally abusive to the woman, who went on to call the police to report his behaviour.

He was warned about his behaviour but after the police left he carried on the abuse and damaged a coffee table.

Police returned to the premises and arrested the 33-year-old.

Steven Townley, defending, told the court the incident was out of character with the defendant’s usual actions.

He added: “My client accepts his behaviour was totally wrong.

“He had been drinking.”
