Officers tested the minibus for forensic evidence before saying Cara, 36, could pick it up yesterday.

She said: “I was told it had been found at around midnight and I couldn’t sleep because I was so relieved.”

Inside the van were two children’s car seats, a buggy, and a double-buggy used by three-year-old old Jacob, who has additional needs and needs to be restrained for his own safety.

Thousands of people read a Gazette article about the theft over the weekend, while Cara also appealed for information on Facebook, which she believes led to the vehicle being found, she added.
