Rail upgrade drop-in event at train station
Residents are being invited to find out more about the upgrades to the rail line between Blackpool and Preston.
Electrification work is on-going and people living nearby, as well as passengers, can find out more at Blackpool North station on Tuesday, from 2 to 6pm.
For safety reasons some of the work, which includes piling work to install foundations and the steel masts which will power electric trains, has to be carried out at night when trains aren’t running.
Network Rail’s Noel Connolly said: “I appreciate that the work could be disruptive and this drop in is a time to find out more.”
